Ingredients

  • 2 cups of boiled green gram
  • onions chopped as preffered
  • handful of curry leaves picked
  • handful of corriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp of finely chopped ginger
  • 4 teaspoons of Astra
  • 1.5 cups of rice
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli pieces
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and Cumin Seeds
  • salt to taste

Instructions

Method
  1. Prepare rice and set aside.
  2. Place a new pot on the stove and add Astra, onions, curry leaves, ginger and begin to fry.
  3. When added ingredients are half fried, add the remaining dry ingredients.
  4. Mix in the green gram and rice.
  5. Add finely cut coriander leaves for added taste.
