Ingredients

  • 1 kg carrots
  • 1/4 cups Astra
  • 10 cashew nuts (Chopped and Roasted)
  • 10 almonds (Chopped and Roasted) (if needed)
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Place a pan on heat and melt Astra. Then add the grated carrots and sauté well on medium heat.
  2. Then add milk and stir continuously until all the milk has reduced. Then add sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves and thickens.
  3. Add cardamom powder and roasted cashew nuts. Then add raisins and mix again. (you can add your preferred choice of dried fruits and nuts)
  4. Cook well by stirring on low heat until the mixture has dried up.
