Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
In a large bowl, cream Astra margarine and sugar until light and fluffy (5-7 minutes)
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in syrup and vanilla. Add flour and salt. Mix well.
Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes. (Top of the brownies will still appear wet). Cool on a wire rack.
For the filling, in a small bowl, cream Astra margarine and icing sugar; add water, mint extract and food colouring until blended. Spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate until set.
For the topping, melt chocolate chips and Astra. Cool for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spread over the filling. Chill. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
