Ingredients

  • 2 cup gram flour
  • 1 pinch yellow colouring
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 150 ml oil
  • 200 g Astra
  • 1.5 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 10 pieces of cashew
  • 10 - 15 dried plums
  • 1 tsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Add 2 cup gram flour in a bowl.
  2. Add baking soda 1 pinch.
  3. Add 1 pinch yellow coloring and mix.
  4. Add water and mix well.
  5. Prepare the dough mix without any lumps.
  6. To prepare the boondi, heat oil and Astra 200g in the pan. insert the dough mix in a boondi spoon or jalli spoon.
  7. Can see they fall into oil like small pearls.
  8. Take off from the oil after 20 to 30 seconds.
  9. Once used to make boondi, wash the spoon and wipe it using a cloth.
  10. Prepare the boondi from entire dough mix and wipe off the oil using a tissue or paper.
  11. Take 1.5 cup sugar in a cup.
  12. Mix 1 cup water and heat for 5 -8 minutes.
  13. Mix 1/4 Teaspoon cardamom powder.
  14. Prepare sugar mix via heating the sugar in water.
  15. Now mix the fried boondi in to the heated sugar mix.
  16. Take 1 cup boondi in a mixer jar and scrape that well.
  17. Take 1 spoon Ghee and 2 tbsps Astra in a pan and heat it, then insert cashew and plums and fry them until they turn to golden brown color.
  18. Mix the fried cashew and plums mix with the boondi.
  19. Now mix the scraped boondi mix in to the above boondi mix.
  20. Mix well and let keep for 10 minutes. Once the heat is reduced, make the rounded balls in preferred sizes.
