Instructions
Start by frying the green gram with some Astra. Once fried grind the green gram to pieces. Next heat the sugar and kithul treacle in a pan, once it starts to thicken add the grated coconut to make the pani pol. Add vanilla and the ground green gram to the same and mix together well.
Remove from heat and let it slightly cool.
Once cooled, make small balls from the mixture and keep them aside.
Next make the batter to coat them by mixing together rice flour, egg, coconut milk and salt. Make sure the batter is thick and. Heat oil in a pan with the remaining Astra, dip the rolled balls in the batter coat them evenly and fry until light golden.
Once fried remove from heat, drain excess oil and store in an air tight container.
