Ingredients

  • bananas 5
  • vanilla wafers about 60 crushed
  • Astra 5 tbsp softened
  • sweetened condensed milk 400 g
  • brown sugar 1/4 cup
  • large eggs 2 room temperature
  • large egg yolks 3 room temperature
  • ground cinnamon 1 tsp
  • ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp
  • heavy whipping cream 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Place bananas on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Bake until tender and skins are dark brown (25-30 minutes). Let cool for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mix wafers and Astra. Press crumbs onto the bottom and up sides on an ungreased 11-inches tart pan. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Peel bananas and place them in a large bowl. Add milk, brown sugar, eggs and yolks, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well until combined.
  5. Pour the filling into the chilled crust. Place the pan on a baking sheet. Bake until the filling is set (25-30 minutes)
  6. Cool for 1 h on a wire rack. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
  7. Top with whipped cream and additional crushed vanilla wafers or more banana slices, if desired.
